Spring 2022 Virtual "Mental Health" Hack-A-Thon

February 2022 (Lexington, Ky) The University of Kentucky Global Health Initiatives and The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship in the Gatton College of Business & Economics, will be partnering to host a virtual Hack-A-Thon event on Saturday, February 26, 2022, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.  A total cash prize of $5,000 will be awarded to the top “hacking” teams. 

2022 CCTS Spring Conference: Von Allmen Center Poster Pitch!

April 2022 (Lexington, Ky) - The 17th Annual CCTS Spring Conference will be held on April 5, 2022 in the Gatton Student Center (in-person).  This event is held in conjunction with the College of Dentistry Research Day,  College of Nursing Scholarship Showcase, College of Public Health Research Day and the College of Health Sciences Research Day.  The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship hosts its 5th annual poster pitch competition during the conference.

December 2021 (Lexington, KY) - The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship is happy to announce that Christine Wildes has been named the Associate Director of Innovation Training for UK Innovate! Team VACE is grateful to have worked with Christine in the Gatton College of Business & Economics over the last three years supporting the Entrepreneurs Bootcamp, developing the Salesforce Club, and teaching entrepreneurship as an adjunct faculty member under the Department of Management.

2021 Winning Startups Announced! 2nd Annual Wildy Possible Contest

Lexington, KY (July 23, 2021) - The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship hosted the 2nd Annual"Wildly Possible" Virtual Startup Contest on July 23, 2021, in which only the Top 5 finalists were selected out numerous applicants across the state of Kentucky. These top finalists were teams ZKaka, Rave on Sports, My Vocal Health, Fresh Eyes Solutions, and ReBegin. Entrepreneurs Bootcamp Alum Wins PNC Wildcat Pitch Competition

Congratulations to Entrepreneurs Bootcamp alum, and 1st place winner in the graduate division of the PNC Wildcat Pitch Competition, Soroosh Torabi.  Soroosh has been involved with The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship since 2017 when he enrolled in Bootcamp and worked with the Founder of Handprint Technologies, Kevin Richardson from the College of Engineering.  Handprint moved forward to become a successful startup and is currently producing products to help assist frontline healthcare workers combatting the pandemic.
