Are you inspired to help your community or a cause near and dear to your heart? Often the motivation in starting a nonprofit comes out of identifying a need. However, is launching your own nonprofit organization right for you, and really, how do you do it? The concept is exciting but it goes hand-in-hand with a lot of challenges and hard work in figuring out how to achieve your goals. Starting a nonprofit begins with building a strong vision for what it will do and how it will be accomplished.

Join The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship for a virtual workshop on "How to Start a Nonprofit: Creating Your Organizational Checklist." Our featured guest speaker is Kentucky native, entrepreneur, and tech expert, Tom Harney. Tom is the founder and CEO of the nonprofit, “The Greater Good Development Network” (or GGDN). He has spent the last 20+ years as an information technology specialist with a true passion to help others design a game plan to create a sustainable nonprofit. Tom also graduated from the University of Kentucky Entrepreneurs Bootcamp program and was the winner of early stage startup capital to continue the development of GGDN.
